THE Hastings Chapter of the American Motorcycles Club has been recognised for its long-standing support of Camden Haven-based organisation Community at 3.
Community at 3 Chairman Theo Hazelgrove recently presented Hastings Chapter Chairman Scott Mingay with a Certificate of Appreciation, acknowledging the club’s many years of support for the organisation and its Mission to the Homeless.
The recognition follows another contribution from the Hastings Chapter, with proceeds from the club’s recent rally at Kendall donated to Community at 3 to assist its work supporting people experiencing homelessness and hardship.
Mr Hazelgrove said the relationship between the two organisations had developed over many years, with the motorcycle club continuing to stand behind Community at 3 and the people it assists.
“The Hastings Chapter has supported Community at 3 for many years and we are extremely grateful for everything they have done for us,” Mr Hazelgrove said.
“Their support has made a real difference to the people we assist and it means a great deal to have a local organisation that continues to stand alongside us and support our mission.
“It is not just about one donation or one event. It is the generosity, friendship and commitment they have shown over many years that we wanted to recognise.”
The American Motorcycles Hastings Chapter regularly brings motorcycle enthusiasts together through its activities and events, with its recent Kendall rally providing another opportunity to give back to the local community.
Mr Hazelgrove said money raised through the rally would help Community at 3 continue providing assistance to people in need.
“Every contribution helps us continue the work we do and provide support where it is needed,” he said.
“We sincerely thank Scott and all the members of the Hastings Chapter for choosing to support Community at 3 once again.”
The Certificate of Appreciation was presented as a gesture of thanks on behalf of Community at 3 and those who have benefited from the motorcycle club’s ongoing generosity.
Mr Hazelgrove said the partnership was an example of what could be achieved when local organisations worked together to support their community.
“We are fortunate to have groups like the Hastings Chapter who genuinely care about the community and are prepared to get behind organisations like ours,” he said.
“Their continued support is greatly appreciated and we look forward to that friendship continuing for many years to come.”
