MADDISON Weinert, 26, a Lakewood resident leads a very busy life juggling wedding planning, family, settling into her first home with her fiancé, and her work as a provisional psychologist.
Following her relocation to the area from Melbourne in late 2025, she found that her life was missing social interaction with women of her own age.
To fill this gap she recently created the “Camden Haven Girls Club.”
Maddison told News Of The Area, “when I moved to Melbourne it was rough, the worst year of my life really as I was very socially isolated.
“I set up the club because I didn’t want to experience that again.
“My goal is to reduce loneliness and build community.”
Regular meetups include breakfast or coffee in North Haven, walks and swimming.
Maddison plans to include surfing, yoga, Pilates and breathwork in future activities.
Events are scheduled for different days of the week at varying times of the day to cater to as many people as possible, with several of the venues and walks also wheelchair accessible.
This informal and inclusive social group is open to women of all ages, primarily focusing on 20 to 30 year olds.
There are no membership fees and all activities are free or low cost.
