CAMDEN Haven artists and community groups are among nine recipients to receive funding through Arts Mid North Coast’s SEED Grants Program.
The grants support community-driven and place-based creative projects, with 24 applications received for the latest funding round.
The applications demonstrated the ingenuity of regional creatives and their desire to connect with their communities, according to Arts Mid North Coast Director Olivia Parker.
“SEED Grants enable artists and communities to bring ideas to life, activate spaces, grow their creative practice, and strengthen community networks,” Ms Parker said.
“It takes vision and dedication to execute arts programs and projects, and we’re proud to support those efforts locally.”
Camden Haven recipients include Leanne Johnson from Ability in Action Camden Haven for the Movember Bar-Capella Sing Project and Rachael Thorpe for an Ability in Action Camden Haven art exhibition and event.
Ms Thorpe’s grant will be used to stage a special art event at Laurieton United Services Club in November.
“The event will support and celebrate artists with a disability,” Camden Haven Chamber of Commerce wrote on its Facebook page.
“This event reinforces our efforts to position the Camden Haven as one of the most accessible and inclusive locations on the Mid North Coast.”
The Camden Haven projects join seven other successful recipients from across the region.
They are Amuramy Martins’ Cavanagh for Circus Sparks: Youth Drama Project; Hayley Egan for Singing the Forest: Place-Based Vocal Improvisation in the Rainforests; Joshua Connelly for Mycelium: A Living Community Artwork; Roselinde Klass for Women who Weave; Salvatore Rossano for Taranta Festival Free Program 2026; Sara-Jayne Prince for Rituals Amongst Humanity Exhibition; and William Jarrett for the GrillaGrilla Album Launch Playback (Listening Party).
The program builds on the legacy of the Country Arts Support Program and is funded by the NSW Government through Create NSW and managed by Arts Mid North Coast.
