NEXT week, Cirque Nouvelle will enchant a Port Macquarie audience with an all-star cast and a colourful production of modern theatrical magic.
On 1 October the Glasshouse Theatre will host the multi-talented group of acrobats, jugglers, aerialists and balancing artists who have sold out shows around Australia previously.
The show blends the charms of old-school nostalgic circus acts with modern, immersive staging design and effects.
However Cirque Nouvelle is described to be more than tricks, props, lighting and costumes. It is also renowned for its captivating and theatrical storytelling.
“At the helm is a charismatic and quirky ringmaster grappling with a universal fear: change. Through humour, heart, and astonishing physical artistry, the show explores the shift from the nostalgic charm of the traditional Big Top to the cutting-edge, technology-driven circus spectacles that now fill world-class theatres,” Rebecca at Cameo Rascale Entertainment stated.
Co-producers and wife duo, James and Rebecca Capener are described as the perfect partnership. With over 10 years’ experience, they deliver high-energy, world-class shows.
Cameo Rascale Entertainment has previously delivered circus performances at festivals, private events, theatres, schools and corporate functions. The two have also headlined cruise ship shows and entertained at resorts in the UK and Europe.
“A perfect treat for families these school holidays, Cirque Nouvelle promises to thrill, captivate and amaze audiences of all ages,” Mrs Capener said.
