EXPRESSIONS of Interest (EOIs) are now open for the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership (CBP) Grants Program, with up to $450,000 available for projects in each electorate.
Local MPs are urging community groups, councils and not-for-profit organisations to take advantage of the funding opportunity and put forward projects that will strengthen local communities.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for our local organisations to secure funding for projects that make a real, lasting difference,” Oxley MP Michael Kemp said.
“The CBP program consistently delivers for our region by improving facilities, supporting local groups, and helping build stronger, more connected communities.”
Port Macquarie MP Robert Dwyer described the program as a key driver of local infrastructure investment and
community development.
“The Community Building Partnerships grants directly benefit our community, often creating local jobs and increasing business opportunities, while at the same time enhancing local investment across the Port Macquarie electorate,” he said.
“The program has consistently delivered practical upgrades that make a real difference whether it’s improving local sporting facilities, upgrading community halls, or enhancing accessibility for residents.”
The statewide program is investing $41 million in 2026 to support community infrastructure projects, with grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 available for individual initiatives.
Eligible projects include capital works such as the construction, refurbishment or maintenance of community facilities, as well as the purchase of equipment and vehicles that directly benefit the community.
The 2026 round will be delivered through a new two-stage application process, beginning with an EOI.
EOIs close at 5pm on Friday, 8 May 2026.
Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by the end of June 2026, with successful projects to be announced in early 2027.
“I strongly encourage all eligible groups to put their hand up and apply,” Mr Kemp said.
