ePetition for safer Camden Haven community footpaths needs more signatures

DEAR News Of The Area,

WITH respect to the article ‘Paths to safety’/’ePetition calling for safer footpaths goes live’ (Camden Haven News Of The Area, 7/8/2026), I would like to thank News Of The Area and highlight the overwhelming support from the community, especially within Kendall.

When I first raised the idea to the community for safe pathways there was a large response with residents offering their support and encouragement.

Fifteen residents immediately put their hands up to sign the e-petition. Businesses have put up posters, and residents have spread the word.

We still need to reach 500 signatures to receive a formal response from the Minister responsible and 10,000-plus signatures for it to be debated in the Legislative Assembly.

We still have a long way to go.

You can sign the petition online here:

https://www.parliament.nsw.gov.au/parliamentary-business/petitions/sign-epetition?epetitionId=842&ref=10902 , Please share the link and show your support.

Regards,

Naomi Louis,

Kendall.
