BLUEY received a special Spring visit from members of the Port Macquarie West Inner Wheel Club, continuing the group’s support for Wauchope Port Macquarie Riding for the Disabled (RDA).
Inner Wheel members Margot Lee, Chris Carter, Pat Every and Jenny Tucker visited the RDA centre to catch up with Bluey, the horse they are sponsoring this year.
The group has a history of supporting horses involved in the local RDA program, which provides riding opportunities and activities for people with disabilities.
Wauchope Port Macquarie RDA President Kerri Argent said the ongoing sponsorship was greatly appreciated.
“This lovely group of ladies continue to sponsor Wauchope Port Macquarie RDA’s horses, and this year Bluey has had their special attention,” Ms Argent said.
The Spring visit also provided an opportunity for the Inner Wheel members and RDA volunteers to spend time together over morning tea.
While he was the guest of honour, Bluey missed out on the treats.
“Bluey’s watching his weight, but the RDA volunteers shared the ladies’ home-cooked delights,” Ms Argent said.
The visit highlighted the relationship between the two community organisations and the contribution local groups can make through ongoing sponsorship and support.
The Port Macquarie West Inner Wheel Club also welcomes people interested in joining the organisation for friendship and community involvement.
