CAMDEN Haven High School’s Team Tazor recently finished runners-up in the 2026 RoboCup Junior NSW State Competition, which was held at the Whitlam Leisure Centre in Liverpool.
The team defeated every side during the preliminary rounds, only to falter in the grand final when a wiring fault ruled them out of contention.
The Year 11 team of Jass Jones, Eleanore Olsen and Tiata Corowa faced off against a team from selective school Sydney Boys High in the Open Soccer division, leading 2-0 at half-time before going down 4-3.
Second place earned the Camden Haven team entry in the Australian Open National Championships, which will be held in Canberra from October 2.
A place at the 2027 World Championships in Nuremberg is on the line, pending their performance in Canberra.
Port Macquarie MP Robert Dwyer recently visited Camden Haven High School to meet with the RoboCup competitors and congratulate them on their achievements.
