DEAR News Of The Area,
All l know is her name is Sheryl.
She’s my guardian angel.
I was minding a traumatised, timid, rescued, six-month-old kelpie for a friend, for only two nights, and she escaped.
I kicked off my slippers and bolted, braless, across the boulevard in hot pursuit.
With the early-morning sun in her eyes, Sheryl didn’t see Buster, but luckily saw me chasing, then Buster came into her view.
Her quick thinking to drive ahead and veer Buster onto the newly built, beautiful ramp, was amazing.
Then, without a second thought, Sheryl drove to the end of the ramp, grabbed her beach towel and blocked Buster in.
By this time l was on the ramp and was able to confine him.
The perfect timing, the miraculous actions of this wonderful lady on the way to the beach, enabled me to carry my scared, beautiful puppy home.
I truly don’t know how to thank my angel. I couldn’t thank her enough on the day. I hope maybe she’ll read this.
I’ll be sure to continue to pass it on.
Regards,
Di Smith,
Dunbogan.
