Kew Bowling Club

1st FEBRUARY, 2026

Please note that Wednesday Social is the only MUFTI day for Kew Mens Bowls. Bowls Australia approved attire (shirt with Bowls Australia Logo) must be worn on Friday and Saturday. Bowls Australia approved footwear is also required (a list of approved shoes is on our Notice Board).

A special Australia Day Fun Day of Bowls was held, with all proceeds ($590) being donated to Camden Haven RFS. A great time was had by all, with some inventive bowlers deciding close calls by tossing two-up coins rather than using a measure.

In Wednesday Social Bowls, Chicka Thompson, Jeff Wylie and Dave Harvey claimed first prize. The Runners Up were Ray Allan, Cliff Kerr and Dave Jones. Voucher winners were Wayne Thrussell, Henry Reynolds, Ian Hodgkinson and Steve Hall.

In the Saturday Cashpot Triples the major prize winners were Denis Squires, Ray Morrison and Mark Hammond with 2 wins and 18 ends. Runners Up were Ray Allan, Viv Gunter and Keith Collins, while Rod Fokes, Barrie Isaac and Ian Poole claimed the consolation. Voucher winners were Reggie Robb, Paul Cini, Brad Conway and Cliff Kerr.

Open Pennants commences on Saturday 14th February. Grade 4 plays at home, while Grade 6 plays at Wauchope, and Grade 7 plays at Port City. Full draws are available on our website kew.bowls.com.au

While Open Pennants are being played, Saturday Cashpots will move to Fridays (this commences 14th February).

Bowls this week include Wednesday Social (mufti dress) and Friday Jackpot Triples, names in by 11.30 for a 12.30 start.
