MAGPIES rule the roost in the North Coast AFL after capturing a unique premiership trifecta.
The mighty Magpies are savouring grand final triumphs in the Senior Mens, Reserves and Under-18 Boys divisions last weekend at the Coffs CEX International Stadium.
It is an outstanding achievement by the Port Macquarie club, which was chasing a record four senior titles to cap a memorable 2026 season.
Sawtell/Toormina’s talented Senior Women’s team spoilt the party celebrations after clinching the trophy with a resounding 57-12 victory over the Magpies.
Port Macquarie were crowned Senior Men’s champions after toppling Coffs Breakers 88-59 in the main game.
Star midfielder Tom Cargill was named best on ground after a dynamic performance with young gun Eddie Redfern top scoring with three goals.
Inspirational skipper and ace full forward Shane Williams and Tom Gallagher each kicked two goals as the Magpies led all the way in a superb team effort.
There was double reason to celebrate for boom colts Redfern, Isaac Luke, utility Harley Cottom, forward Mitchell White, defender Riley Bates and Toby Quinn after picking up two premiership flags over the weekend,
Redfern, an outstanding midfield talent, collected the Nathan Harris Medal for best on ground after helping the Magpies’ all conquering Under 18s claim an undefeated title last Friday night with an impressive 67-33 victory over Coffs Breakers/Nambucca Valley.
Port Macquarie snared the Reserves title after edging out Coffs Breakers 41-39 in an absorbing tussle.
A jubilant Magpies club president Dirk Sheldon told News Of The Area that winning three out of four Grand Finals was a “tremendous club achievement.”
“It is a huge honour and made possible by the hard work put in by players and club officials across all grades” he revealed.
